Daisy Ifama
Daisy lives in London and was raised between cultures by an English mother and a Nigerian father, moving frequently while growing up and learning early to embrace different perspectives. Those experiences continue to shape her work, which explores identity, belonging, and the communities that have influenced her own life.
Committed to telling stories that both entertain and resonate, she centers queer voices, Black experiences, and the lives of single mothers with warmth, honesty, and nuance. Her short film Twinkleberry, commissioned by Netflix, reflects that same thoughtful approach to storytelling.
She was named one of The One Club’s Next Creative Leaders and earned a selection for SHOOT Magazine’s New Directors Showcase. A founding member of gal-dem, the pioneering British online magazine created by women and non-binary people of color, Daisy helped define its visual identity and launch several flagship editorial series. Her work has also been exhibited at Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, among other institutions.
